Area farmer dies in accident
BLAIRSTOWN - Henry G. Siek, 83, of rural Blairstown, died of injuries he suffered when a truck pinned him to a farm building about 6:15 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the Benton County Sheriff's Office, siek was unhooking a trailer from a truck. The idling vehicle began to roll forward, and Siek tried to get into it. He was then pinned between the truck and the doorframe of the building, sheriff's deputies said.
Siek was taken by Blairstown Ambulance to Marengo Memorial Hospital , where he was pronounced dead. The Blairstown Fire Department and the Benton County SheriffÍs Office also responded to the scene.
