Skaters to consider new club Tuesday

A skateboarding interest meeting is being held on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. in the Waverly City Hall Council Chambers.
The purpose will be to determine the interest in establishing a skateboarding club in Waverly.
This initial meeting will cover the history of the Waverly Sk8 Park.
The structure of the club will be determined by the members.
The club meetings could cover a variety of topics including skateboarding skills, expert demonstrations, safety, first aid, equipment maintenance, and anything else the group wants to talk about.
Guest speakers will speak or show videos of skateboarding and related subjects and a healthy snack will be available.
The skateboard club will be co-sponsored by Bremer County Extension office and Waverly Leisure Services.
Adult volunteers are needed. Anyone who wants to help should contact either Bremer County Extension or Leisure Services.
Call the Leisure Services Department in City Hall at 352-6263 for more information.
