Jesup’s Marsh will continue her season
NASHUA-Jesup’s Michelle Marsh earned a spot in Class 2A regional medalist play by finishing third in Monday’s district tournament.
Marsh fired a 104 and will next play in the May 26 regional meet at Reinbeck.
Also qualifying for the regional in medalist play were Allison Koch of Hudson and Kara Larson of Sumner-Fredericksburg with 96s, and Stephanie DeLau of Hudson and Becca Mohling of Sumner-Fredericksburg with 107s.
Sumner-Fredericksburg won the team title with a 430, while Hudson took second at 445.
Both squads will play in Tuesday’s regional meet.
Rounding out the team standings Monday were Waterloo Columbus 458, South Winneshiek 467, Dike-New Hartford 476 and Denver 508. Jesup and Nashua-Plainfield did not have complete squads.
Olivia Hemmer fired a 118 for Jesup, while Katelyn Chamberlin came in with a 132.
